Yankee Candle

Yankee Candle was something I really discovered and started buying as a young adult. I remember going to the mall with my husband and walking into a Yankee Candle store for the first time. I think we had been out to eat, and were just strolling around. Anyway, man what a treat that was, getting a chance to smell all the various candles! I recall saying, hey look at this one, do you like this? He was doing the same, and I recall being a bit disappointed the candles were as expensive as they were. (about $2.00 per votive candle) With as many as I liked and wanted to get, I could have spent a pretty penny there!! I think I got a couple candles that day, and I wish I had been making a blog like this, then because I could have recorded what I got. If I think back, I think it was maybe one of the coffee scents I got, like Hazlenut coffee, and another one. I loved it!

Next time we went there, I wanted to get more, and my husband said as a special thing, this one time, we could get the big pack of 12, buy 10 and get 2 for free basically. Oh my goodness, I was so excited. (We were young, finishing college, and financially at a hard point in our life that candles were definitely a luxury purchase.) So we proceeded to pick out several, and you would think that would have been easy, but not so much!

For the next few weeks at least, I enjoyed burning those candles. Some smelled better than others when you burned them. My goal was to get the scent going around the house. The ambience was so nice also, and one of my favorite things about candles.

I simply love Yankee Candles, and still purchase them. I have a weakness for these, and grew to love more and more fragrances as time went by and as we would get them, say as a gift at Christmas. I was hooked early on.
